Beautiful viewpoints and untamed, unhabited ponmudi was top on our list when we planned a visit to kerala. We took a Shola trail to a hilltop where there was a small Rama temple amidst sylvan surroundings. Worth going

Almost 2 hr drive from trivandrum, 22 hairpin curves and then you reach the top... Was too crowded on the last day of the year, but still found a rock to sit on and relax

It’s nature at its best. Unspoilt by the tourist. Very less tourist amenities though. Only one govt stay for the place. It’s a beautiful located hotel but alas govt apathy, no maintenance and poor service. Can do a day trip

The views are great here. It is close to Trivandrum town and can be reached easily. It can be a nice half day picnic spot if you are in Trivandrum. Go there for the views but not for the climate. Don't expect other amenities such...More

Hello. Yes. you can go.I believe kerala's monsoon start from March. since you are from varkala make sure there is no rain. not advisable to go on rainy days.
