Small eateries in the square, We bought seafood from the fish market there and took it to one of them to cook. The one we used charged us 300 rupees. The beach is closeby. There is also a promenade.

The Vasco Da Gama Square is a unique place, located centrally at Mantancherry, is close by to many tourist attractions. It has a flea market, restaurants, beach walk way etc. Ideal for shopping stuff related to kerala heritage.

Stopped by on a Sunday night. There was a music performance in the park and vendors selling things. Seems like a happening area of Fort Cochin.

There are lots of vendors selling coconuts, fish, souvenirs, etc, but really nothing much interesting about the square itself, though it's adjacent to the Chinese fishing nets, which are quite photogenic. The whole area smells really fishy.
