This place is full of history and priceless things to see. You can take up to 3 hours to explore the entire place. Do check out Antique museum and Police museum. You can hire cycles just for Rs 100 a day and explore the place.

There is a lovely atmosphere here, despite the throngs of visitors (or perhaps because of them?). Apparently, there have been Jews living in Kochi since the days of King Solomon - approx 1,000 BC. There is a lovely little mall next door with a European coffee and cake shop. Our visit was very enjoyable.

A decent place to spent time and to learn the History of Cochin. There is a nice Jewish Synagogue, neatly maintained. I could not see any Jewish around that place. This place is a close to a shopping center.

If you are interested in colonial and pre-colonial history of the Fort Cochin this is a must. Wonderful little synagogue, amazing funky paintings telling (at least one version of the story) of Jewish history in this area - beautifully portrayed, and perfectly new - at least to me. I managed to get there an hour before the synagogue was closed... More

An old synagogue dating back to the 1800's. Still functioning although there are only 5 Jews from 4 Jewish families. Kochi was once a thriving town where the Jews were the brokered the spice trade. The Synagogue is old and in need of repairs.
