This temple with 14 high gopurams and two big garvagrihas is dedicated to devi parvati and lord sundareswar,i.e. shiva.A must visit when you are in madurai. Some wonderful stone carvings and beatiful gopurams are the highlights of this temple.

I would recommend this place in 7 wonders of the world. Simply mesmerising. I was blessed to spent almost 40 min in garbha-griha. 5 feet Idol of goddess Meenakshi is amazing, made from original Panna stone. I can visit this place n number of times.
