Usually every one thinks about what so special about TEA until they visit this place. Once they visit the place and going through pictorial evolution of tea and its transformation, people will come to know its history and importance. Must visit this place and spend sometime here ! Don't forget to clain your complementary TEA( of course many flavors)

This was so interesting . We were there when there were big storms. Fascinating to hear about the different teas. There is a busy shop at the end of the tour and you can walk to look down on the tea gardens. The toilets are awful but are at least Western style.

When you enter the factory you could see the process of making tea right from the scratch, i.e. from the leaves. All in all it was a good experience and at the end of the trip you could also taste and buy Tea packets for you home. They have nice variety of Tea.

We went to the tea factory in the evening, right in time for a cuppa. This is the highest elevation tea factory in south India. We were greeted by an antique roller machine on the outside to the left. There was a huge queue watching the process of making tea from fresh green tea leaves, right in front of you.... More

When we came there in the afternoon, this place was overcrowded by little tour buses, because in this tea factory you can buy very good tea, especially the "Silver Tip". But also the spices and the home made chocolate are worth a visit.

The place is full of details about tea making and the various varieties. They have good chocolate options as well. They give you a tour of the place as well as the tea making process but some of the staff would be arrogant. The rest are pretty nice though. You will end up buying a lot of things from this... Average place where you can see process of Tea leaves being processed to CTC Tea. Requires climbing up of stairs. It is unguided tour, only some board displayed about the process. Ticket of Rs.10/-, reimbursed by way of Tea at end of the factory tour. After visiting Tea Factory, you would be routed to Green Tea and Chocolate Factory at... More
