It was super hot and walking around the extensive grounds of the fort, up and down stairways, hidden alleys and corners, became quite tiring, but a visit you had to make.

The fort has a lot of historical value. What impressed me the most was the view of taj from the fort. Also, the fort has 500 buildings constructed inside the fort. It's a clear proof that architecture was very advance even in that era.

Fantastic trip and a must see. Elephant riding to the fort is superb but the ques are vast so a jeep ride may be worth looking into. Take plenty of water for those hot sizzling days.

We hired a tour guide for both the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort for the day. The tour informed us of the history of the Kings and Queens that once lived in the Fort, which was very interesting. The fort is very well kept with beautiful gardens. You can also get a great view of the Taj and River Yamuna... More
