Date of your travelling will coincide with monsoon season here. The mountains experience heavy rainfalls during this time with 3 to 4 days of continuous rainfalls. Therefore I will suggest you not to drive during your time of visit rather park your car at Rishikesh or Haridwar and book a Innova for your onwards journey. With no tension of your car and driving you can enjoy the nature at it's best ( all greenery due to monsoon). Also the drivers are well versed with the roads there and they have local contacts as well in case the car broke down or you are stuck in a road block due to land slides. Last year I did the same and enjoyed my travel rather than focusing on traffic jams, road blocks and rains.

I dont think you can book any hotel online for Gangharia. There is no internet connection there. Even the mobile conection is very very weak almost not present. Hotels options there are very less and very poor conditions. Dont expect very neat and clean hotels. They all are very average hotels.
In case you are travelling in a peak season, chances are that you might not get any hotel rooms there. It is advisable to book your hotel before hand through any agent who have contacts there.
