Very nice park, you may enjoy a tour in the beautiful nature, but it depends purely on luck for what wild animals you may encounter.

I need you to protect the elephants from the trains. It breaks my heart to see them suffer like this. This park is one of the few areas where they can still live.

Rajaji National Park is a protected forest area near Haridwar. It's on the route from Haridwar to Rishikesh. The commonly found animals in this national park are tigers, elephants , nilgai, wolves etc. The lush greenery and the picturesque jungle views were quite amazing. We took a Jeep Safari and saw several elephants, few nilgai and spotted few birds.

Rajaji National park is another must see if you go to Rishikesh. This park was formed by the amalgamation of the Chilla sanctuary, motichur sanctuary and Rajaji sanctuary and is spread over the districts of Dehradun, Haridwar and Pauri Garhwal of Uttarakhand. The Chilla gate of the Rajaji National Park is just at a distance of 19kms from Rishikesh. Here... More

Rajaji National Park is likely to draw incredulous looks from people as to where that is. Everyone has heard of nearby Corbett National Park, perhaps a byword for NPs in India. Rajaji remains obscure which is as well for it lends the park an untrammelled quality. We stayed at Junglee Resort which is deep inside the National Park. One has... More

I do not know what Rajaji national park used to be and how it got listed in the places where you can go for a jungle safari, i just know that it is not a place for safari anymore. The local guides are trying hard to retain the status but it really isn't even a proper forest. I went through... More

A lesser know sanctuary - go for the very common elephant sightings. We were lucky enough to see a leopard - crossing right in front of our jeep. Great safari

I went to Rajaji last month with family and friends. We stayed in forest guest house inside forest. As we were staying inside we enjoyed night safari and got chance to see wild life and roam in jungle when no one was around. Forest guest house are on booking basis only and are very basic. We stayed one night in... More
