We were not able to stay for the entire performance as we had been told it started at 7 and arranged our dinner booking for afterwards, but in fact it starts at 7.30, so we had to leave early. Even though we arrived at 6.45 it was already busy with all the front and tiered seating taken up. So if... More

I believe if you visit Ubud this is a must do activity that shows you how important spirits and religion is to the people here. It is all very colourful and quite humorous, the moral of the story is the fight between the good spirits and the evil spirits. The music intensifies when things are happening, it's cool they have... We watched this show one night after dinner. The program lasted about 75 minutes and you should show up about 30 minutes early if you want a front seat or an elevated seat at the back. The show breaks down into about five or six different segments. The opening segments with the female dancers are very interesting. But I found... More

The Legong Dance performance came recommended from our host, and the 1.5 hour performance passed quickly. Other nights offer different shows and the pace may be slower. They sell water, soft drinks and yes, Bintang, at the show. You can also carry in your own water bottle.

The entire dance is filled with mythological Hindu religion story. Although ticket cost is little on higher side, but when you enjoy the dance you feel it is worth to charge that much. Lot of energy is showcased by the dance troop and we really enjoyed watching them. If you want to see Bali culture, you must watch this dance... More

When we first arrived at the dance theatre, we were greeted with a picture with one of the traditionally dressed women, flowers for our hair, and a well-appreciated English translation of the play so we could follow along. Balinese dancing is theatric, colorful, bright, and engaging. A great classic story of good and evil that was appreciated by the audience... More
