Gusti Nyoman Lempad was a sculptor and painter and designed many of the temples in Ubud. Interesting to wander around the courtyard of his house and see his workshop etc. although this not a museum to his work.

Only a few Lempad's artwork and paintings tugged away at one corner. The paintings were not hung up but just stacked together horizontally. Some of them were not even in good shape anymore. There was a lady (one of Lempad's granddaughter) looking after some paintings...More

By chance we came across Lempad home today. Beautiful gardens but was absolutely horrified by the tiny cages holding many birds including an eagle. What is going on?

I am a huge fan of Lempad and being in his house was something quite amazing to me. His family still takes care of the compound, and it's still very much appears as a real traditional Balinese House. I do agree that there are too...More

This spot has an interesting history of Mr. Lempad, who was a prolific artist who lived to be quite old. It also sells some art by other artists. The house grounds are architecturally interesting, worth a photo or two of fantastic Ubud carving and buildings....More
