What a Great way to do shopping, especially for clothing and shoes. Pasa Baru Trade Center usually comes alive in the evening from 6pm to 10pm, so it was the best opportunities to buy very cheap clothes and accessories such as watches and ear ring etc .

Go early - as they open from 9:00 onward, thus 10:00am will be the best time to visit this place. Have a lovely breakfast at Braga Street and coffee from Kopi Toko Djawa before heading down to shop 'till you drop; You will need the energy. This is next to the Pasar Baru Square - diagonally opposite the road, thus getting GRAB is good enough which may cost about RP35000 (depending on where you GRAB from). Before you enter the building, there are many small stalls at the front which crowds the place - on the left is another entrance you can go into and on the right is another entrance where you can get local snacks. So, take your pick on which to explore first. Once in the building, there are 7 floors (7th floor being the car park area) the remaining are shops. If you already know what you want to buy, head to the lifts - you can see a directory of things sold on each floor, which makes you easier to find. Make sure to bargain! Some shops are selling the same goods but different brand/ manufacturer which provides different quality. Not all things are worth the value so its best to browse the quality first before purchase. A good place to purchase Batik apparels, apparel accessories and souvenirs. Probably will spend around 3 hours here to browse the things you're interested in - at least I did! ekeke...

Cheap and affordable things to shop including batik. It's stuffy, like a maze and crowded, but the place for a good bargain

I thought my trip would have been a waste, but I truly enjoyed shopping for Batik and more in Pasar Baru. Though not the best of quality, variety and affordability are the plus points in shopping here. Just make sure to have the best art of bargaining... you're good to go!

A must place to visit at Bandung. The famous Pasar Baru offers varieties of clothes (Lantai 3), Shoes, souvenir, local food and many more. Do becareful with your wallet. Handbag should be place in front. Use you bargaining power here. It is a crowded place so please take extra careful with your children

I absolutely love this place and there is so many beautiful clothes at a cheaper price than Singapore but not cheap by Indonesia standards. I got a batik dress SGD$18, a long floral purple weave skirt SGD$10 and a small brown bag pack SGD$ 6. Its so hard to bargain with them so I don't shop as much as I would like and they doesnt seem so interested to sell you. People smoke indoors and there is people following you around to sell you souvenirs which make the shopping experience stressful. Overall, its still worth a visit if you love batik or Malay/Indo clothes.

Is it possible, but not adviseable. The road is always jammed and congested, and you would want to walk in the humid weather inhaling engine fumes.

Hi, its best if you go early in the morning or afternoon. The place get crowded by 5pm and on weekends many shops start shutting down so by the time you go from one floor to another many shops will have shut down.
any hotel nearby...

Yes. You can choose Aston Hotel Braga, Gino Feruci Kebon Jati, Fave Hotel Braga, Fave Hotel Hyper Square, Zodiak Hotel Kebon Kawung, Hilton Hotel,Pasar Baru Square Hotel Bandung. For Pasar Baru Square Hotel, the hotel located across Pasar Baru Trade Center. But if you want good vintage and historic place, you can choose Aston Hotel Braga and Fave Hotel Braga.

Hi if I'm staying at this sensa hotel.is it far to go here?and how much if I take cab to this Pasar baru? Thanks

Base on google map the distance via car is 3-5km. Having just went there I believe the cab ride could be 30mins... I stayed at Hilton which is about 1km++ away. So it was very near and took me less than 10 mins to reach.
However I took the cab from Pasar Baru to Trans Studio (6.6km) away with heavy traffic was 75k rupiah if not mistaken. The road was heavily congested. The cab was the yellow-metered cab. It was about 45 mins ride? I feel asleep after the crazy shopping at Pasar Baru trade centre.
Anyway the cabs has a minimum fare of 50k rupiah. Even bluebird taxis. I took the metered cab from Paris Van Java to Hilton was 25k, but was charged 50k plus "parking/toll" fee.
May i know the walking distance from the papandayan hotel to pasar baru? Is it possible to walk?

My family of 4 (including 2 teenagers) walked from Jalan Braga to Pasar Baru, which was supposed to be a distance of about 750m, and it took about 20 minutes. Your route from your hotel to Pasar Baru is about 2.7 km and would take about 1 hour.
I sort of regretted taking my family on foot. There was a lot of traffic on the way and no proper pavements. Often, we had to walk on the road and had to be doubly careful to avoid the oncoming vehicles including motorcycles. The route took us through some of the more run down parts of the city, and I didn't feel as safe as I did in other parts of Bandung.
As taxi fares are very reasonable in Bandung, I would strongly suggest that you take a taxi instead of walking the distance from your hotel to the Pasar.

Hi, we stayed at the Bali World Hotel, the one that has a Mcdonalds across the street... It's value for money, plus the room is quite spacious for a Superior Room... Oh! Do note that they have separate buildings for Standard and Superior rooms...

Hi, I thought of buying some fabric from here and tailor made it while I'm in Bandung. Can anyone please advise where is the best place I can make modern kurungs please that would be ready within 48hrs? And I understand that Pasar Baru is huge, can anyone give me some tips on the shops that I can zoomed in for cheap & good quality telekungs, jubahs, muslimah outfits as I won't have much time to spend there with a young child in tow. Thank you.
