Since I was there on Saturday, the side road of the building was closed for car-free-day. Thus I did not enter the site. But I did took pictures in front of the building, between the large words of BALAI KOTA. Was a good spot.

grahadi is an office where the province government take place. grahadi was the "gubernur" official office.

This beautifully building (at least from the outside) is really synonymous with Indonesia, developing but maintaining heritage. You enter the building itself but the grounds are well kept and does have some photogenic opportunities.

if you an architech then you must go see this building while you are in Surabaya. Great architecture, and now it is a government office.

The name 'Grahadi' is derived fromn the Sanskrit word meaning 'house' while Adi means 'distinguished'. Thus Grahadi means 'distinguished house'. it was built sometime in 1795. Great architecture. Now the building was used for the governor's office. You can take pictures from across the street.

In police birthday it's used for bazaar and a police cruiser are showed (oftenly harley davidson police convoy) weapon used cop are showed too. In 2010 it's have technology event and health even, my sister has won best application design. Mins this Place : A parking place is very limited. Sorry for bad english, i'm from Indonesia.

Grahadi never seems to get much press as a tourist sight, which we find odd.
