Catch of the day

Fishing boats dock here with their catch. Cats try to board boats filled with a myriad of delicate morsels but are summarily dismissed. A great place to visit.

Wasn't much going on in the port. Concrete breakwater was built by the British. Most of the activity was various tour groups walking along the port and going up to the Old City.

Enjoy the port of Jaffa and experience a beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea. Reflect on biblical prophets, like Jonah, who visited during his resistance to God's call.

the port is old and looks like it was 30 years ago. there are new good restaurants around the port but the fishermen are still there and sell fresh fish.

Beautiful port, with lots of activity and history. Beautiful sunset views on the Mediterranean Sea. Incredible history to consider Jonah the prophet and Peter the Apostle both sailed from this port.

Walking along the coast and beach, then worth the time to roam around Jaffa port. Not a must see place but pleasant enough for s coffee pra stroll around.

We took a bike to the old port of Jaffa. Over the years it has been renovated, but it has still an Arabic atmospher. The old town is on a steep hill, intersected by a big road, bulldozered to crush the resistance against the British rule. The small streets are line with shops and cafes. Great views from the gardens.... More

We visited Jaffa port during our Israeli visit because it wasn't far from our hotel. It is one of the oldest ports in Mediterranean area. Most of pilgrims used this entry to visit Holy land. Today is not functional port. Only local fisherman use it. Most of warehouses were reconstructed to restaurants and art galleries. It is very nice place,... More

It is a great walk along the beach from Tel Aviv to Jaffa and visiting all the stores at the Port. The kids particularly loved the Virtual Reality activity - it was one of the highlights of our trip. Stopping for Falafel across from the clock tower is another favorite. People in Jaffa are very friendly. We never miss the... More

The old port is being reinvented with warehouses being converted into restaurants and tourist attractions. There are private boats and a small commercial fishing fleet. Hope this helps.
