While the square around the well has a nice, laid-back atmosphere, the sight itself is not very impressive. It is not even the original thing and there are no explanations whatsoever.

I happened upon the site when out for a walk. If I had detoured more than 20 metres to see this thing I would have been quite cross. Luckily I deviated from my intended path only ten metres.

I'm not sure what this attraction is even supposed to be. It was originally the location of the he towns public well, today I guess they only turn the water on at certain times because it was dry when we went.

The well is turned off off season but you go inside the church to the original source of the water and fill your little bottles.

Here is the well that Mary would have taken the Child Jesus to gather water for use in everyday life. great little spot to stop and pray
