If you do not understand Hebrew, do not waste your time taking a tour. If you still want to go, be ready to feel completely lost within one hour. You get tickets without any warning that the tour is in Hebrew only, and the movie is in Hebrew only, and the speech given by the owner is in Hebrew only.... More

We went into the house/dairy but could not stay for the guided tour. The staffwoman was very curt (a family member!), and only after she said they had a shop did we ask if we could buy cheese. We got the "Tsfatit"--salty but that keeps it fresh for a day or 2 w/o refrigeration. Gouda and Bulgarian available, too.

Interesting talk and tour (history of Tzfat from before Independence War, personal reminiscences of owner about Independence War), and delicious cheeses

I've been wanting to visit for years and finally had a chance this week with a group of friends. The story of the family is intersting, the cheese is exceptionally good ( exoensive as hand made boutique cheeses are), and the historic paraphernalia is cute. On the other hand, there is a lit they vcan do to make the visit... More

We went for the Friday 12pm tour, and it was quite interesting (it's important to say that the tour is in Hebrew only). A big part of the tour is dadicated to the Meiri family and it's heritage, but more that that you get to learn about the history of Safed and the art of cheese making. At the end... More

We read so much about this. Called several times on the number provided on website - no answer on both land and mobile lines. we made a trip there (on friday) and was told by an unfriendly lady to come back at 12pm for the tour. we detour and made the trip back. 20 shekels per person. it may have... Go, see and taste. Not every day you can see every thing but you can taste and test. Probably you will buy some fresh cheese that you like more. I did and enjoyed it.
