I highly recommend taking a boat ride, you get a great scope of the true size of the sea (It's huge!) You can view many of the cities from the Bible from this vantage point. Imagine Jesus walking across from the shore! You will never...More

I really loved the ride on the Sea of Galilee. Peaceful and I could really picture Jesus and His Disciples in a boat out on the lake

There is so much biblical history in this area. We took a boat ride on the lake with a very knowledgeable tour guide. It ended up being a spiritual experience for us as one of the pastors in the group shared a brief message too.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime visit that you need several lives for. Beautiful! Very inspiring to be here. The sights around here are amazing and this is a great place to base for days.

This place is brilliant. Peaceful. A place to re-centre yourself and connect with God. Worth the visit.

We spent a good amount of time on and around the Sea of Galilee and enjoyed it immensely. You can sit quietly by the seashore (lakeshore really), dip your toes in the water or go swimming. The history and beauty is captivating.

surprising to note that this is the largest fresh water body in Israel. infant water from here is exported to Jordan as part of the Golan heights treaty. Tiberius is a ruin, but there is a functional church built over the ruins, and a Greek...More

Ya, 28 years ago we had our wedding here on a ship, Lido 4. The water is still clear, the only natural major source of sweet water in Israel. If you want to take a bath, you can find several beaches, but most of them...More

Good for boat rides and swimming. There are some nice sports to stop along the way. Where you can get out of your car and get in the water.

This is called a sea, but is a fresh water lake. It is stunningly beautiful. Very historical for its ties to Christ! The mist around the lake is always changing the view and colors. A must see if in Israel!! Take a boat tour as...More

Hi. If you are driving you can get to Caesarea from there- but we went everywhere by coach, so it was easy. I don't think that you would need to spend the night in Caesarea. Hope that helps.

I was there Oct '16 at the end of a hot summer. Many 'no swimming' signs, many people ignoring them. I didn't swim myself, but the water was a very pleasant temp. There were designated swimming places at popular beaches.
