Lovely and cool on the boat ride. Went far off into the sea. The highlight was the captain of the boat played our National Anthem and hoisted our National flag too.

Nice lake, but few open beaches. Good to swim if an open beach is found. Unfortunately you'll find surrounded by lots of rubbish thrown on nature grounds.

The Galilee is an absolute must. There are so many sights to see in the vicinity and the sea itself is so beautiful that you just won't want to leave. A boat ride is a must with the fewer people the better. Just do not...More

If you are in this city I am sure the "Sea" was one of the driving factors. As a very large lake goes it is ok but as a point of historic significance, wow... I had no idea so much happened around this area and...More

Lovely and cool on the boat ride. Rode from one side of the lake to the other. Large group of us pilgrims on it.

Whether on the shore or on a boat in the middle of the lake, this is a beautiful place to reflect on all you have seen and done in Israel--plus consider everything that happened right here so many centuries ago.

So much to do and see. So much history, ancient and modern. A lot of religious sites, archaeological finds and the wineries, fruit farms and olive groves are lovely.

Great tour by Bein Harim tours taking us around the Sea of Galilee. Great biblical narration and conversation. Our guide Zahi Shaked (Isaac) kept things on time and even went out of his way to drop us off at our hotel in Tiberias.

It's a beautiful lake to have a walk, swim or take a boat ride. It's at his best in the morning of begin afternoon. It can get quite rough in the end of the afternoon.

I spent two days at the Sea of Galilee and loved the peaceful atmosphere. It is very special to walk in the place where Jesus walked and ministered. Very special.

I was just there 2 weeks ago...I would stay in Tiberias although it doesn't seem like much else to see other than the Sea. Haifa was about 1 hour 15 minutes to Sea of Galilee Nazareth seemed to be about 15-20 minutes from... More

Hi. If you are driving you can get to Caesarea from there- but we went everywhere by coach, so it was easy. I don't think that you would need to spend the night in Caesarea. Hope that helps.

I was there Oct '16 at the end of a hot summer. Many 'no swimming' signs, many people ignoring them. I didn't swim myself, but the water was a very pleasant temp. There were designated swimming places at popular beaches.
