Anyone for a cuppa!!

Lovey setting along the mountain road. Got to walk round the factory to see the tea preparation before buying tea in the shop.

We wanted to visit the factory but apparently the factory can be seen only certain days. So we were only offered the possibility to see a few people packaging the tea into tea bags! (?!) And there was a little shop (a few shelves behind the ticket counter) were there are different teas to buy ( prices here where cheaper... More

We did not go inside the factory. But we took some wonderful pictures of the view from there. And we also bought some nice tea and nutmeg there.

The place has a wonderfull sea and beach scenery from the hill. There is also a small tea factory. You can buy some vanilia tea (8-10 rupee), green tea, banana or bread fruit jips (20-25 rupee), etc. from it's shop. After shop if you want to visit the factory the entrance to factory is 10 usd I think and there... More

It is good to go there and see how the seychelles tea is produced. It is a small manufactory. You can go through the factory free of charge or pay some fee and the guide will go with you. These is also a small shop were you can buy all their products.

Was on our map so we called in to have a look on our journey exploring Mahe by car. Eventually somebody saw us snooping about and told us where we would find the guide, we found her but she seemed to have been sniffing the tea bags as she was slumped over her desk and told us to go away... More

25 rupees for an unguided entry for 2 persons. There was one room with some photos and a couple of boxes on tea on display and that's it. All other activities were out of bounds (basically several people sat putting leaves into boxes anyway). The 9/10th of the factory was unused, empty dirty rooms with broken down machinery. Tried to... More

On arrival there was a staff member who would not acknowledge us and when we asked questions she muttered in monosyllables. was so unhelpful and unfriendly - We did not feel welcome so we left. Such a shame - a smile and greeting goes a long way in any language.

Worth the visit whilst you are in the Seychelles. Remember to take cash on this visit as they do not take debit / credit cards. The tea's are lovely.

The location & view from the tea factory is stunning. When we reached there, it was a sunny day, due to which the view from factory was awesome.
