The sanctuary is thoughtfully created giving these great beasts lots of freedom contrary to other private confines on other islands.

The marine parks in the Seychelles can sometimes feel somewhat overpriced (and they are certainly quick to elicit the fee), but Curieuse certainly doesn’t fit into this category (unless you've overpaid a travel operator). A visit to this island is good value for money as...More

I highly recommend to stay on the nice beaches on Praslin rather than go to an OVERCROWDED touristic attraction. Seeing giant turtles in captivity in DEFICIENT and INAPPROPRIATE environment for their "reproduction" is not worth a visit. Tourist operators offer half day packages which includes...More

Very nice island we visited during a catamaran excursion. We had a good guide explaining us about the island and its tortoises. A colorful beach where to bathe at the end of the visit.

Fascinating time spent on this island. Tortoises are great fun and never though I would be chased by a tortoise for food :-) From what we saw most tours take you to the landing site where the tortoises are and leave you to take the...More

When visiting Praslin this is a definite not to be missed trip for everyone. The tortoises are simply incredible and worth the short boat trip.

Lovely excursion to this island dedicated to turtles (more than 300 and coral regenration) where you can have barbecue on the beach. I hughly recommand the excursion through the forest and mangrove which is just wonderful (1h walk)

We took a boat trip from Praslin with some guys who had organized some barbecue lunch for us. You will find tortoises there in free nature.

The giant tortoise make an interesting sight. One can also begin the walk to the Anse Jose beach from here. Do note that the walk is for a good 20-30 minutes, and the signboards are not the best.

A mixture of great landscape, empty beaches, nature with huge turtles and scientific / historical knowledge to gather. ..... why not enriching a beach holiday by this? We were happy to have done that!

Thank Hengsti

We went with a rubber boat to the island, therefore we landed just at the beginning of the sand. A bit of wet feet. Not really difficult other than to jump out of the rubber boat with the help of the other people.

I recommend you go on an organized tour, e.g. we went with Ziblo. We were brought there, they gave us background information and then we were "let lose" to discover the island on our own, so we went on an easy hike (if... More
