Feb 2023 • Friends
I visited with a group of friends in Feb 2022 and forgot to post about it once I returned to the US rat race.
This was the most beautiful beach I have ever been to...and I've been to some beautiful beaches (Greece, Cayman Islands, Aruba, Zanzibar, South Africa, etc.). One in our group said it rivals those in Turks and Caicos, and she couldn't pick which was better. I'll be in Turks next month for the 1st time, so I am excited to compare myself.
The beach was small and we saw it as a part of our island hopping tour of beaches on Praslin and La Digue. We saw this beach first and after seeing the other lovely beaches, we wished we had just stayed here all day.
Although not large, it wasn't crowded and the bright blue water, white sand, and rock formations bursting from the ocean were simply breathtaking.
When we return, we plan on adding overnight stays in Praslin and not just Mahé. Glorious!

On arrival at the beach, I wasn't sure if I would like it as there were quite a lot of people around so the beach wasn't very secluded. There is very little shade other than the natural shade of the odd overhanging coconut palm. The parking is 100 rupees (£6) no matter what time of day you arrive.
Once we had found a spot to settle, I relaxed and actually really enjoyed my time at this beach. The beach really felt special, the sea bluer than I have ever seen and the sand was really white. There are some big waves here this did not stop us frolicking around and swimming. The sea is so clear with very little seaweed and it was probably some of the warmest sea water I have ever experienced.
There is a tap in the car park to wash off the sand on your return which was really handy if you have a rental car!

The road to Anse lazio is pretty steep but the views are amazing,we reached early in the morning at about 9 and the beach was empty so we got the best place to sit and read, the beach is stunning with turquoise water and the trade mark boulders we wanted to make videos from our drone but it is banned as this beach is near to a resort, also there is a parking fee of 100 scr to visit this beach.

When I saw this beach, my very first thought was: 'All those pictures of perfect beaches in Seychelles were true then! No special effect or filter!'. Besides its pure beauty, this place can be full of great surprises: this was definitely our favourite beach of the island so we went there very frequently. Every day we could find something new: a sea turle, a lemon shark, schools of red snappers... and all by the shore! You don't have to swim that far to find all of it! We've got back last week and I'm already looking forward to go back there again!

Beautiful white sand beach with palm trees as shade. Fabulous for swimming - small waves and no current in October. Very few people on this beach, very quiet.

Exceptional beach, best so far in Seychelles… probably one of the most gorgeous one I have ever seen. You can also see wonderful fishes near the rock formation on the right side of the beach …. Same or more as the ones you will see on a snorkeling trip at St-Pierre island.

Hello! Anybody can advise on getting to Anse Lazio from Sainte Anne bay and return? I would arriving from Mahe just to spend the day. To go North and then return to get back to the jetty. Is this viable? Is there any restaurant in the area or spot at the beach (Anse Lazio)? Thank you

Hi Claudia, it is doable for a day trip from Mahe. Be sure to book your return ticket, and best to take the last ferry back.
Yes, there is one restaurant near the beach.
The easiest way to reach Anze Lazio is with taxi.
When you get off the ferry, walk through the parking area where you find lots of taxis. Set the price before you get in and ask him to come back in the afternoon. Don't give the money, tell him you pay when you're back to the jetty.
Enjoy in the paradise ;)
