    Built before the American Revolution, the elegant home of General Philip Schuyler is one of the most outstanding examples of pre-war architecture. During the season, experience a guided-tour of the home from knowledgeable staff who will tell you the history of the home and the Schuyler family that lived there - Philip and Catharine Van Rensselaer Schuyler, and their eight children. Second daughter Elizabeth Schuyler married Alexander Hamilton in the museum's front parlor in 1780. Tours are offered on the hour. Please call in advance of your tour, as pre-scheduled groups and events will alter the tour schedule. Site is CLOSED yearly from October 31st until mid-May, excepting special events.

    Excellent - A Must See

    When you're in Albany don't miss the Schuyler Mansion. So much history. Our docent was wonderful. She answered every question we had and then some. My husband tells everyone it was the highlight of our trip - from Norfolk to Saratoga Springs.

    Great

    Took the tour that highlighted the sisters. Docent was so detailed. Don't know what the other tours are like. One features Hamilton. You need to,reserve your spot usually in advance.

    Terrible Service

    Really disappointed with the service here: waited at the desk for 20 minutes to be told we couldn't pay on card. By that point we weren't able to get cash out at an ATM before the tour so really felt let-down. No apologies from member...More

    Great tour

    The tour guides are knowledgeable and interesting. The house itself is beautiful, and historically significant. We enjoyed the tour and will be back for the sequel. Work!
