If you're looking for a place to immerse, this is the place to be! The colorful houses is built in staircase fashion so expect that the walk would be tiring, but fun! How to get there is exciting too as the roads are too narrow and steep and you'd feel that you're in for a roller coaster ride :)

A very unique place in South Korea. It's like looking at a life size Lego Village, except that this one is more artistic and colorful. Enjoy strolling in the village, try the coffee shops, and visit some houses for photo opportunity. There's a different feeling watching the sunset on this part of the world.

Bought a map for 2000 won which you can probably do without if you don't plan to explore every inch of the village and just want to enjoy a leisure stroll.

This is a neat stop! You can either take the bus in or if you drive in there is a parking lot (costs 3,000 won) at the top of the hill across the street. Beware though, that drive up is very intense! Very steep and curvy! Now once you enter the village you can buy a map (2,000 won) and... More

The view is beautiful here, indeed Busan's Santorini but nothing much can be done here other than walking around the village houses and take pictures at some street art spots. Also, please take note that the F&B expenses are costly there, so I'd advise people to have their own meals before visiting this village as you may not want to... More

A fabulous tourist attraction with plenty of walking around and exploring the village. But you will get tired all the way and need the strong legs for walk up and down thestair.

Gumcheon Cultural Village is said to be the Korean version of the Santorini mainly due to the colours of the houses and structures. I have not been to Santorini but have seen photos of it and Gumcheon Cultural Village is not entirely Santorini of Korea. Nevertheless, it is filled with arts and artistic features every corner you look. It is... More

I have high expectation for Gamcheon village, but I was disappointed. I thought it would be so amazing, but when I went there I found it average. People in the village just painted their house for tourist reason. I did not see any antiques, lives of locals or tradition Korean food here, All I see is human-made painted house and... More

A nice way to kill some time in the afternoon. There's quite a bit of local artwork that the teenagers here seem to love. I recommend walking back down the hill to get a better feeling of local culture that isn't so touristy
