Captain Perera and his team will take you to where the blue whales surface after deep feeding dives. The ship (or boat) is operated with high safety standards and manned by a friendly and welcoming crew who look after you.

Although there are many other options for whale watching, we opted for the Sri Lanka Navy because of the safety assuarance. The boat was quite big with strict safely regulations and many navy life guards on stand by, ready for any emergency! We saw one...More

On 24th April 2016 we have visited. Wonderful experience. The navy staffs were very friendly and trained. We have seen 4 to 5 appearances of whale (perhaps the same one) and on our way back met some dolphins. Overall worth taking!

The best method would be by making a call. Most of the time, they will not answer. But try during early morning and evening.
