Dutch canal

Light relief from the heat of the day being out on the water with a breeze , away from the busy dirty streets of Negombo .

No a tourist attraction that you need to see, a drive past is good enough. Not pretty and very unclean

The authority should think about maintaining this canal in a suitable way. It could be a superb tourist attraction, Sorry to say-you guys need to grow up & focus on where it's needed. Don't take this as a complain, take this as a constructive feedback. Thanks :(

We took a ride in canal one rainy afternoon. It was nice as there was no other boats at the same time. A must when visiting Negombo. You hire a speed boat that slowly takes you though Negombo to the lagoon. It is great to see the locals going about their business from the canal. We sow some amazing bird life and people waving from the canal bank

If you want to spot some exotic birds and perhaps a water monitor ot two this is the way to do it. You also get to know some of the flora aswell.

Well, it's something to do in Negombo. There isn't much to do. The canal has snakes and rubbish. Our boat fouled the propeller many times on old rice sacks and rope. There are some nice kingfisher birds. An island with some monkeys and a lot of slums to see on the way. We took two powerboat tours in both directions... More
