Im not really into art so im not really that impressed with the painting.. Im more impressed with the story behind it. It's a very inspiring story. The place is just small and it gets really crowded during weekends. Visit it during weekdays instead

Located at the former military quarters for ex-army officials, it is interesting how this village turned out to be a place of attraction. The walls and certain parts of the floor are painted making it really colourful and nice. Can take a lot of pictures and there are souvenirs sold there.

Interesting place where you can take many colourful photos. But besides that, nothing much to do. Was hoping to see Cai Hong Ye Ye but he wasnt around.

Come and take OOTD shots with the painted walls. There are merchandise for you to buy as souvenirs. The items are not cheap as the proceeds goes to support Grandpa Rainbow's living expenses. The staff selling the merchandise are volunteers. A t shirt is priced at NTD500. You will spend around 30 minutes taking photos, or even longer if you... More

We took an hour taxi drive from Taichung city to Caihongjuan Village in a late afternoon. There were quite a number of young people taking selfie here. The houses are very colorful with hand painting artworks corvering the walls and ceilings. It took us just about 10mins walking around these houses. There is an outdoor playground for family coming with... More

It was a heartwarming and delightful visit to the place. The village is so beautiful and the quirky paintings were intriguing and uplifting. It is amazing that a veteran, also known as Rainbow Grandpa, Mr Huang Yung-fu made these beautiful paintings. What a creative and joyful personality he has. If you can appreciate art, you will definitely appreciate his quirky... More

Good for those who love colorful things. The graffiti is unique. However the main building is under renovation, so not much you can see.

A nice little place about the story of a man. Interesting, rural, colorful and joyful eventhough the artist has a sad story. Worth visiting.
