We walked around the cottage to enjoy the scenery. No lavendar in harvest at the moment. Bought a lot of lavendar products though.

This place gives its visitor enchanting feel - very nice to stroll along and take pictures with nature. It also has a nice short hike in the forest though seniors may not appreciate the slopes. The entry fee was NT100 and it can be used for purchases in their souvenir shops. Very reasonably priced. Hope to be there again when... More

Great place to visit with kids and for photo-taking, although the ride up was long and winding. Entry fee was NT100 and in return, they provide NT100 for complimentary use of buying their souvenirs (which is quite worth it). Would recommend getting the lavender and lemon grass ice cream, as well as their lavender cookies. Would recommend to go in... More

This was part of my itinerary when I planned my Taiwan trip. The drive up the mountain was long but I must say it is worth the ride up. It's a relaxing place that you can spend hours admiring the lavender whilst enjoying your coffee and drink. There are many photo opportunities around the garden so I took many photographs.... More

My driver in taichung kept discouraging me to go to Lavender cottage saying that there's nothing there to see. But me and hubby insisted cos we didn't want to regret not going . So after a long winding road up, I can understand why the driver was not so keen, probably because of the tough drive up. But when we... More

The drive through the mountains to reach Lavender Cottage is dangerous. The roads are very narrow, sometimes only wide enough for one car, and there are lots of blind spots and switchbacks. When you arrive, there is a fee to get in. This place is all about lavender. You can purchase lavender-based products and even the food is infused with... More

I like the lavender themed cottage which has a very European feel, all the more cuz I live lavenders. The location is inconvenient without private transport & I hired a driver to drive me there to/from Taichung. There is a stretch of walkway which i find rather steep. Other than that, the entire place gives a dreamy & peaceful atmosphere... More

I can see the appeal of this place for small children. The gardens are lovely, there is a carousel, and there is decent food in tree-house like cafes, and the hiking is mild. It is a pretty long drive from Taichung, though, so maybe it is best if you go with a group.

It is quite far from the city and not easy access by public transport, so we rented a van. The entrance ticket is not expensive and includes two coupons. You can use the coupons when you buy something there. The decorations inside are cute and beautiful. You can take many photos. The lavender ice cream is really nice! I ate... More
