We were so worried about leeches and other wild animals. But the trail wee was marked clearly and even wide enough to take our baby stroller about 2.5 km. Playing in the river close to the park entrance was also a highlight of the day...More

Sometimes the photos of these places don't live up to the real thing. Here, it defiantly lived up to my expectations. I had a double bed room with on-suit perched on the side of a cliff overlooking a river and mountain range. Plus, the wild...More

After raving reviews excited to go to khao sok national park. We found ourselves in hell! I can understand why people like it here because the nature is wonderful. Except for tubing, kayaking and boat trip to the lake there is completely nothing surrounding you....More

During our stay in Khao Sok we visited two places in the National Park. First we went on an organized boat tour over lake Cheow which was great. The mountain formations are just incredible. We had lunch on the lake which was very good even...More

This is not a normal national park. The best forest I have ever seen. You can not come here for access to airplanes and trains. But it's worth the time. If you have arrived, get rid of your full day from the early morning to...More

Unfortunately we didn't get to go inside the park as such... but the whole area (highway 401 between Surat and Takua Pa) is filled with so much unspoiled beauty.. well worth a closer look and more time spent in the area.

Wonderful place. We had a top guide saw heaps of elephant tracks but no live elephants. The highlight for my partner Isabel and I was inter reacting with the indigenous people as it's their land it's their customs, it's their ancient stories that we were...More

Hello We have never left Europe and usually do typical Spanish holidays. With my husbands 50th in April he wants to go somewhere with some culture and has chosen Thailand. I’m struggling knowing where to start but one thing I do know is that we all would love to go somewhere like Elephant Hills in Khao Sak. But it’s dreadfully expensive. We don’t and won’t go anywhere where the elephants are not looked after in a positive and loving way. Does anybody know if you can go to see the elephants in Ele Hills without paying their extreme costs? Or are there other lovely places we can go to,for a few days, to experience the National Park and maybe see some other animals including elephants. Must be kind to the animals. Do not wish to see animals chained up. Hope you can help. Thanks. Karen ps if you fancy helping me plan my first real trip, feel free to offer advice on resorts too ! Thinking of Khao Sak?
