The palace renovation and restoration is still in progress. May be less than 50% done. It would look really great once completed. But, it was still a worthwhile visit there. Make sure to take the ticket to see upstairs as there's nothing to see downstairs. Unfortunately no photography allowed upstairs. Information provided there is limited but still gives some level... It is the 2nd time we've been to the palace. However, it is the first time we bring our son along. This time is a bit different as the king passed away early this year. So it is a bit sad and some places has covered by black cloth. Also, the building is now under renovation work and some rooms... More

This Palace is also known as The Palace of Love and Hope/ Maruekhathaiyawan Summer Palace and is used as the summer residence for Rama VI. This palace is between Cham-am and Hua Hin, hence we dropped by after spending the earlier part of the day at Cham-Am when heading back to Hua Hin. We were initially unsure whether GPS was... More

It is a beautiful palace with a big park and see view. Though some parts are under renovation, the palace is still very beautiful. Please make sure you go up on the second floor which you will have to pay for additional fee. Though the rooms is not fully decorated but it is still interesting to walk around. Please make... More

This palace is set in superb gardens with some magnificent trees. Reasonable entrance fee of 30b for the gardens and 30b for the palace. Interesting architecture. If you are incorrectly dressed you will be asked to wear a sarong to cover your knees or a shawl for shoulders, free with discretionary donation. An hour for the gardens. Not sure about... More

Here, lies the humble and great palace of a king, one and only in the world. Preserved and respected place as history being visited once more. As a nature lover, i am very well pleased at the scenic place from flowers, plants, trees and the seaside. A great landscape it is fit for a King.

You must visit this place if you stay in Cha Am. One of the best King Palace of Thailand you can see. It was a very good time during my stay.

This is a royalty place and with all royalty/religious places, you are required to wear decently to the place. Hence, no short pants, skirts, tight jeans/pants, sleeveless shirt, etc. It's advisable to wear long sleeve and long pants/blouse. If you happen to miss it, you may pay a minimal fee for them to pass you the Thai traditional sarong to... More
