Close to the city center. It's the original birthplace of the Emerald Buddha before it embarked its journey which finally sees it arrived at its current location in Bangkok. The temple itself is small but functional. I find it very pleasant walking around the temple...More

I went early morning to avoid the crowds and was very surprised to see such a beautiful temple almost on my own. By far the most beautiful temple in Chiang Rai, maybe even in the whole of northern Thailand. Do not miss it!

Went there as our last tourist spot we want to see. This is a small temple and we only want to see the Emerald Buddha. Stayed there for a bout 10 minutes and off we went to the night market.

From the outside, it looks really small. But if you walk further in around the building, it houses a museum with lots of rich artefacts with explanation on its history etc. & it’s free!

There’s a nice temple, with a large white Buddha inside. If that turns you on, then you can brave the hordes of other tourists see it. Otherwise, don’t waste your time.

Very crowded place, so you need to reserve more time to see all. But worth seeing while wisiting Bangkok.

This is a beautiful little Thai Temple! With it being small and the fact it is fairly remote; this results in it not being busy which I loved! The bright greens inside make it absolutely stunning. Highly recommend this little spot as it is small,...More

If you are in central Chiang Rai it’s easy to walk to this temple. The complex is small but there were many monks and ? Apprentices coming in and out, making it a colourful scene. The cost of entrance is small. It is important as...More
