It is the landmark of Hat Yai. We came here whenever after a tiring sight seeing and need a place for breakout while shopping for some souvenirs under a comfortable air-conditioned environment. We got our travelling toiletries from the Boots here. Convenient as it is everything under one roof. Of coarse the price would be slightly higher compared with the street markets outside, but you would not think about it during a hot sunny and sweating day!

There will a lot of stalls set outside Lee Garden Plaza around 5 pm.
You will have more choices of food instead of restaurant around.
Thailand is hot, buy yourself a coconut drink to stay hydrated!

More to discover around that region that Lee Garden itself!

Lee Garden Plaza just another shopping center withe food outlets and some of the boutiques selling very unique and interesting items (either 2nd or 3rd floor). The mall is clean and bright, it is a pleasant place for shopping. Outside the plaza is the very busy street with hawkers and night market.

We were attracted by the "Sky Buffet" at 10th floor (previously at 33rd floor) by Lee Garden Hotel. They served mixture of Thai and Chinese cuisine, variety of food only cost 169batt per person for lunch or dinner, children and seniors have further discount. Food in Hat Yai is not cheap, buffet in hotel with this pricing I feel very satisfy, so I give extra rating based on this.

The food at Sky Buffet is average. The price is cheap for all you can eat buffet. The taste is normal. Street food have better taste then here. But for environment and good view, this place wins. Value for money I would say. The staff here is very polite. Recommended to try if you are staying near Lee Garden. My rating is high based on the staff, service, environment and view.

I was looking for Hazeline snow all over the drug stores in Hatyai but was in vain. Finally found it at the stall in the market and bought it, thinking I'm so lucky.
However, I saw it selling in the cosmetics shop in Lee Garden with a much cheaper price *regret*.
Girls u may check out the cosmetics shop here in Lee Garden, they have got lots of products with reasonable price.

Many people thought this is just the hotel. But, infact from morning till night u can have all the local food and do your shopping here. No hurry to buy all the snacks when u see the shop, every stall and shop is offering different prices. U can even bargain with them. And night market is lee garden area is so much fun and tasy food to eat. U can make this place as a first or last day event so that u can budget up how much u can or still able to spend.

The hotel is really nice and clean. And it’s very nice to the city . Behind Lee Garden Plaza is Odean shopping mall. During the night there will be stalls in font of it, there’s stall with clothes, street food and others. The service of the stalls are quite good. Language barrier can be avoided since most of the staffs there knew how to speak in Mandarin and English. The buffet are not that good since there’s no many variety. The pineapple fried rice didn’t have any pineapple and taste bland . It’s better for u to have white rice with Tom Yam since the Tom Yam is really quite nice . The dessert provided are good but the sea cucumber is just so so . Anyway the environment for the buffet is quite nice . Would recommend for the stay in Lee Garden Plaza but don’t suggest to have buffet at there.

Ps : Buffet cost 169

The Hotel has a great location downtown but it is old and literally, the lobby can be like a "bus station" when busy.
The rooms are jaded and needs a full refurbishment. Had a Junior Suite but it was pathetic. The furniture looks like remnants from the 1900's but the bed was comfortable and the air con super perfect. In the toilet, at times there is the faint smell of sewage.
Attended meetings in the Ballroom. The air con there was weak causing many to fan themselves.
The Banquet dinner was average - nothing to rave about and service was basic...if they could speak English.
One point - beware of taxi drivers who enter the Hotel on the ground floor and try to get guests to take their taxi. So much for the security at the entrance!
