One of the most visited places in the town. Not so majestic inside yet from the outside with the view of the lake can be nice. It also looks nice in the night with the lights.

On the appearance of a beautiful lake that adorns the city. Wonderful for walking, lying on the grass, peace, quiet, I simply think that this lake is gem Mae of Hong Song. During the day, a totally peaceful after dusk turns into a walkway, a...More

This is a place you just want to sit and feed those hungry fishes. At night time, this area was a lot people sampling local foods. Very quiet in daytime.

We visited the lake one afternoon whilst travelling around the area and it's well worth a visit. Make sure you buy some bread and feed the fish they are huge!!

While waiting for the market to get set up we sat in one of the lake gazebos and watched as children fed the fish. A very relaxing preface to the bustle of the market and a great spot to chat with fellow travelers.

The lake is place right down town but not exactly the most appealing, with dirty waters and dead fish. The surrounding temples and the night market definitely make it worth it though!

Hi there, as the other people have indicated it's about 4 hours or so by bus - very lovely as long as you are not barfing all the way as it is a very very hairpin bendy ride. Mae Hong Son is one of my most favourite places... More
