German Art Deco Palace in beautiful grounds

Not something you will see much of in Thailand. It is set in a beautiful garden, which you can easily spend an hour or two looking, around next to the river. Art Deco rooms and... read more

We made our way to this Royal palace with no defined idea of what we might see. The architecture is mostly in the European style and quite modest by Thai standards. The ground floor has little to r commend it so the more able bodied in our party climbed to the first floor. The grand staircase is decorated with huge... More

The palace is really something different from other things you will see in Thailand. It has nice green area around, but the interior is not worth spending this 50 bath, really. Downstairs you will see only white walls and there are only two rooms interesting upstairs.

Not something you will see much of in Thailand. It is set in a beautiful garden, which you can easily spend an hour or two looking, around next to the river. Art Deco rooms and light fittings although no furniture. A lovely building worth a visit.

This is an old palace of former King of Thailand. It is a vacational palace for rainy season. It is very beautiful and the admission is very small. Good way to learn about history and to turn back time to the old days.

The palace was designed in European Baroque style exterior with Art Nouveau interior. It was built by the command of King Rama V to modernize or westernize then Siam. It is very strange to see the palace in its setting, imagine seeing like this here a 100 year ago. I think it is worth the visit since it is not... More
