This beach is nice but not really typical. There are good bars and restaurants with wifi around which is great. For 200 bahts you can rent mattresses and an umbrella but for the same price you can buy your own umbrella at the shop...it's quite crowded, too...

The beach wasn't too packed. We hired a scooter out because the taxis were trying to charge a ridiculous amount. You can hire out a umbrella and two mattresses for 200baht. We also hired a canoe for 300baht and took a little trip round the island just of the coast. There's a little beach hut to get your drinks and... More

I love this beach more than patong as it is less crowded with good sand n sea quality. Just one point is that it is not so convenient to go if you don't drive to there. It is a good place to go before going to phromthep cape for enjoying the sunset.

White beach, pale blue water and no quick drop off into the deeper ocean. Great beach to walk on. Get there early to grab a mat and umbrella for shade from the sun. Only 200 THB until 6pm. Foreshore before getting to the beach has shade from she oak type trees. We ate at the cafe closest to the beach.

Super crowded! And dominated by the Russians? Odd and honestly kind of surprising, given that it was so highly praised on Lonely Planet. I went after visiting Big Buddha down south since it was en route home - and the beach was so packed, there wasn't even room to put down a beach towel. Honestly, would not go back and... More

Long sandy beach with beautiful vistas in the background, many small please boats from sail to power and plenty of small restaurants....great place to swim and relax...however don't expect to rent beach lounges, chairs etc. as the local government does not permit rentals.

one of many good beaches in phuket, on the south end is a natural pool that fills with water during high tides - our kids loved to play in that pool
