This museum has been closed for renovation for a while. When we were there in January 2016, we could see that the building was in a good condition when we looked at it from the outside (just renovated). When we got closer, we were told that the museum was closed for renovation. An exhibition will open on the first floor... More

Sept 2015, and presently getting a long over due face lift and maintenance. Roof done and still has scaffolding for outside touch up, so not sure if open. Use to be free or donation, but may charge when open, but inexpensive to be sure. Last revamp was nicely done, and gave a nice local history. 4 star for what's relatively... More

I spent an interesting afternoon here some time ago. Driving by a few days ago it appears to be having a makeover so check with the tourist board if you are travelling any distance to see it

I went today (2015 Jan 20) and found this place entirely closed until at least 2016 Jan. Also the position shown on the map is wrong by about 2 kilometers. Aaaaarg! The real position is just south of Prachak lake.

This is not the world's greatest museum but well worth the visit if your are in Udon Thani. Unless you visit the same time as a school group there will be very few people here at this small museum. The staff are very friendly and the museum is very well planned. There is many local artifacts and much of it... More

located in a very beautiful and ancient house, the musem is very interesting, but half is written only in thai and the people at the entrance do not offer any help because they do not speak english. The fact there is no fee is not an excuse for making part of this museum unaccesible to the tourists
