Amazing dam as far as dams go

We were part of a tour group and got to go up to the dam and it was impressive both from the dam as well as the view at the bottom of the dam looking up.

Fantastic area with scenic views everywhere. The mountains are quite steep and the nature here is fascinating

Went on a day tour of Manavgat and surrounding countryside and ended up at the dam after a very streep road climb but the views were to die for. Well worth a visit if you are in this area

Visiting this water power plant is part of boring tour, I recommend it if you like to see Taurus Moutains with ease.

We actually visited to see some rare owls, but there are tourist boat trips where you can take in the scenery, perhaps swim while moored up and end up in the lakeside restaurant.

The drive up the hill is grand. The dam is magnificent and the scenery is fabulous. Entrance to the park will set you back just 1 trl per person (~€0.33). What stuck me the most is the total lack of development of this 'attraction'. There are a couple of run down restaurants here and there. The entrance resembles your avarage... More

Took some photos, looked at the water, etc. I passed the time lecturing my wife about hydro-electricity production and the difference between amps, volts and watts, but she looked bored. Not sure if it was the dam's fault or mine.
