    Stunning
What an incredible jewel. One of the lesser known Roman centres. A lovely, easily accessed historical gem. Well worth a visit. I went early morning so no crowds and perfect experience.

The highlight of Side ancient town
When visiting Side ancient town, from the bus stop or parking lot as the starting point, everybody would just walk to the direction of the Apollon temple. I'd say not much else to see or stop by, although the town is quite large, and in quite good condition. The beachfront is full of modern shops, hotels, and restaurant, all displaying prices in EUR. This is indeed a tourist town. We walked down for about 30 minutes to the temple down the beach near those restaurants, and waited there until sunset since we arrived already quite late in the day. One of the best sunset we had in our Turkiye trip this time. Since this was part of the ruin run to Perge, Aspendos, etc from Antalya, we'd it's worth it, plus afterward we stopped at the modern side of Side for dinner. Enjoyable day.

    Suprise 👍
We decided to visit the Temple of Apollo and were really surprised at how much history has been preserved to some extent. The museum is wonderful full of historical sculptures both inside and outside the museum. The ticket is paid exclusively in Turkish lira.

Definitely worth a visit to temple and ‘Ancient Side’
We were so glad we braved taking a trip from our hotel on the local bus to visit ‘ancient Side’. The area is very clean and beautiful. There are ruins around the town which you view from glass flooring above which you can walk over which the children loved. There was a land-train which we took down to the town as it was over 34 degrees but the walk down looked great as lots of history and ruins to see. You reach the ‘temple’ through the town and its sat beautifully at the edge of the shore. Great photo ops and then lovely just to sit at the rock pools enjoying the cool breeze. If we visited again we would make the effort to see the museum I think as would’ve liked to known more history around it.

    Amazing history
Side archelological area is amazing. You are literally walking amongst history. You walk amongst the ruins down towards the headland where the temple of apollo is located. It's takes a good few hours to wander through the area. The temple of apology is definitely the best photo spot. Make sure you bring you swimming gear as the beach is beautiful. Be aware Side obviously receives cruise ships and is set up to deal with them. It's expensive priced in euros not TL. It cost us £10 for 4 cans of pop. If you can bring your own food and drink

Beautiful site. Love the ancient city. Incredible views. Nice restaurants and shops. It’s easy to access on a short inexpensive bus ride. Less expensive if you pay in Turkish lira rather than Euros.

Beautiful work being done, lovely setting by the sea. Plenty of shops and restaurants. Just a nice area to walk around catching some winter sun.
