A new vet grand entrance being built here but not sure why . The city was interesting but very small compared with other underground cities. I felt the 10ytl entrance fee was a lot for what you got to see compared with other Cappadpccian attractions - but we did meet the son of the chap who discovered it.

The chance to wander through the narrow halls and end up in surprisingly large rooms, investigate the "emergency doors" to roll closed against intruders, see the general arrangements for life from wells to wine-making facilities was all just amazing and absolutely worth the visit. Not many people there when we visited due to the attempted coup in summer 2016. We... More

The deepest underground city at Cappadocia (5 levels). The lowest two levels are not opened for visit. If you want to have the experience of learning how the people lived underground you must visit Ozkonak, don't expect a great infrastructure. Although is possible to visit by yourself I recommend go with a guide, prefereble the local ones.

Such a great place to visit, I loved it. will go again. Worth the price paid at the entrance, I've been here with my family and I enjoyed every second of it...

This was an interesting visit to see how it might have been like to live underground. Ozkonak was used mainly for storage of food and supplies, and also used for temporary living quarters. We had the advantage of being in a tour group, so we had a tour guide to explain many of the details for us. Otherwise, I probably... More

Discovered in 1972 as an underground city that can house 60000 people, the place has strategic significance to the population in the area. However, as a tourist spot, it did not have the appeal of the Fairy chimneys and the place was not well described even in the entrance. This could have been better marketed in th future

There are many other undergroun cities in Cappadocia! This is one of the last ones to recommend to visit! Just a waste of time! First sections are open for visits and pretty small. Kaymaklı or Derinkuyu recommended because you can see how big they are not this one

If you browse around in the area, I would for sure choose to pay the place a visit. I believe it was 10 lire to enter, and to me it was easily worth it. I didn't really spend much time there, but I could easily spend 3 times as much time - if I had the time to spend. I... More
