One would have noticed this same place in couple of recent Hollywood movies. Could just sit there and image what it took humans to make such a structures, the time and the man power behind it.

Best place in the area, after paying the ticket to see the whited hill, we found out that the amphitheater was within the same premises and that made ticket worthy to pay.

This is right at the end of the travertens... However, to reach there, you can either walk which is quite tough in the heat or you can take a rental bus near hierapolis which takes you up, stops for about 15 mins lets you click...More

This ampitheater is built differently from some of the other early church ruins. It is also just as it was 'uncovered/discovered' when archaeologists started digging around. You can see where Christians had their shops, their special markings, and you can see the hot springs and...More

Very much in ruin, But still worth a walk to reach it and take a look. Awesome atmosphere once you are there. You just wonder how in the world the ancient people built all these structures!

I was shocked with so much beauty, thanks for keeping it so clean and well mantained. It was really my favourite part of the Park.

Dating back to Greco-Roman times, this is a beautiful place to visit. What was annoying was the lack of attribution to Hellenistic history - this is distortion of history. Also annoying was a young man at the entrance with a very large parrot, standing there...More

Best time will be spring most probably. Bodrum is 3 hrs drive. 1 day with a guide is ok. You have to read some historical info before you come. If you rent a car Dedeman hotel is out of the city Denizli. We stayed there.
