Remains of an ancient theater that has been preserved in very good condition. The acoustics still work in this ancient site.

There are two ways to access Pergamon and it is more than just the theatre! If you have a good head for heights there is a cable car. If like me you have vertigo then it is accessible by road but that has some breath stopping drops on it too! The theatre itself is huge and well preserved but that... More

It was raining and not many peoples in the ruins. The theater locates on the steep cliff looking down to the town of Bergama. The view tells me the encient time of Bergama once it was a great town.

If you suffer from vertigo this may prove a daunting visit. The views are amazing and the 15 Tl (Rtd) to get the ski lift up to the site is well worth it. A highly recommended site

This is probably one of the best ancient city I'd visited during my trip in Turkey, the theater on a steep hillside is really breathtaking and I'm pretty sure you won't be able to find such theater else where in the world.

This is not a separate attraction but rather part of your admission to the Pergamon complex. We did not feel it necessary to explore this particular architectural feature but marvelled from above and took some photos. If you have the time and a level of physical fitness, setting foot on the tiers of seats would definitely qualify you for bragging... More

The theatre of Pergamon is unquestionably the highlight of the ruins and is in itself worth making a visit and paying the admission fee (it cannot be accessed separate to the ruins of Pergamon). After catching the cable car to the summit and exploring the remnants of the Acropolis temple complex, find the signs to the stairs and tunnel leading... More
