You can easily get lost in this labyrinthine bazaar but that's all part of the rich & colourful experience of this historic and charming place. Whatever you're looking for you'll find here, guaranteed, and at prices hard to believe. Don't be put off by some shopkeepers insisting you look in their shop, we might find it off putting but in... This is a very nice bazaar (a historical 16th century shopping mall). We wanted to drink a Turkish coffee and enjoy this lovely historical place. Unfortunately, the coffee shop workers were very 'persistent' to invite us to their location, we rather ran away from that 'stress' and ended up having our coffees in another location. But overall, we really did... More

It is center of Izmir with traditional shops and services. You may find almost everything you need. Gifts, typical local restaurants, butcher shops, toy store, fish market, cheese market and especially coffee shops. It whole another atmospher in center of the city.

If you're in Izmir for just a short while, this is the place to go for small souvenirs and presents to bring home. I love shopping here, especially for cheap jewellery. Upstairs you can find great carpet shops. They are reasonable and up for bargaining. It's also the place to go for some of the best Turkish coffee, so if... More

This is the most historical place left in Izmir, good to surround by historical ambiance, drink a cafe and eat local foods. If you are near to Kordon in Izmir, you have to visit this historical place to drink a Turkish cafe. Also don't forget to eat kumru which is a local snack food in a restaurant in this area.

Impressively cheap and fresh fish restaurants, open air turkish coffe in the center of an old bazaar. Building was an old hotel for travellers of Silk Road...now waiting for you as a historical eyewitness. Close to the seaside for a perfect sunset in Izmir Bay.

Revisited this bazaar a week ago and it still manages to create an atmosphere of awe and amusement. There is no slow day or slow season here as it is visited more by locals than tourists and is opened six days a week. Some districts within the bazaar specialise in certain products such as household goods, wedding dresses, fish, bags,... More

A typical turkish bazaar with everything that you can imagine, a good experience, and also have some mosques in the middle.
