This is historical place, many years ago it was residence of orthodox metropolia. Now it is national university of Ukraine. If you have a plan to visit Chernivci, you must have to see this beautiful place with English park and church.

"Alhambra of Bukovina' is one of largest Ukrainian universities! You can be viewed independently, without orders. From this should wait for a visit at the entrance to half an hour, to complete the group.

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
Hi! Can someone tell me what the approximate opening hours of the university are in the mornings (for visitors) and what days of the week is it open? Also, can I find a university guide on the spot or do they operate fixed hours? I wrote the university folks as well, and I'm waiting to hear back from them. Thanks a lot!

Hello! They are opened for public visitors Mon-Fri - 9 a.m.-5p.m., weekend - 10 a.m.-6 p.m., but because it is summer it is better to double check directly with them. Hope this will help!
