We drove here on a Wednesday morning from our hotel in Al Ain. There was almost no one present so we basically had it all to ourselves. Total time needed is about an hour to go up and down with the various stops along the way. There are plenty of restaurants and restrooms/toilets but it was all closed during the weekday so perhaps it's a weekend bonus given it's probably far more crowded then too.

Nice drive. The road is very well maintained and drivers were careful (my experience)
Almost 1.2 kms of elevation covered within 12 kms of road.
It was 32 deg C at base and 25 deg C at the top. Several view points are available. The one at the top has proper facilities including toilets. The restaurant there (at the top) was closed.
Dont forget to manually engage the drive while coming down to avoid "baking" your brake (in vehicles with automatic drives)

1. The road (11.6 km) is extremely well maintained and well maintained, with proper road sign and lightning.
2. There are 4 viewing decks with proper parking lot and WC as well.
3. The highest viewing plateau has large parking lot but no cafeterias or gas station.
4. There is not even a water bottle vending machine.
5. The highest plateau has 270 deg viewing range with proper fencing.
6. The view may be nice on a clear day but we couldn’t see much as the evening was dusky.
7. Apart from Oman and UAE bird eye view the geological beauty of the hill was awesome.
8. Not only fractures/ faults/ deposition/ secondary sedimentation but different colored minerals were very fascinating to see.
9. There is a children parks, clean and well maintained.
10. Lot of plastic bottles and coke can litters were found around the area. The view was disturbing.

It is a great place to spend an hour or so driving there and back, admiring the scenery, seeing how the Al -Ain in the UAE and Al Buraymi in Oman are intertwined, and appreciating this unique geological phenomena. Make sure you go there either early in the morning or late in the afternoon for good views.

We stayed in a sky bubble overnight at the base of Jebel Hafit. The views were amazing. We had a great tour guide who took us to the tombs and around the base of the mountain. The drive up the mountain had fabulous panoramic views. We absolutely enjoyed our time at Jebel Hafit!

This is an easy and very enjoyable drive. Have no concern about driving this beautiful road. The overviews afford a different view than city life and is quite lovely. The descriptive signage at each lookout pullout is good. There are about seven pullouts in addition to the top. On top expect to find a restaurant, bathrooms, and picnic areas. There are two lanes going up and one coming down.

From bottom to top is quite some distance and the I clinevis steep, also no safe walking area, vitcwould be unsafe to do so, however , there is an annual hike up the Jebel when it is made safe for pedestrians for a single day.You would need to be in a good fit condition to manage it.
