It displays the evolution of Abu Dhabi in an era-by-era manner. Mostly about the evolution of houses and the arrangements inside the houses. A few artifacts such as swords, knives, guns are also displayed. Loved the open tent (call it "Majlis" in Arabic) where we spent about 20 minutes sitting and chatting. It takes more or less one hour to... More

I've been to the museum many times, with students and with visitors alike. It os brilliant the way the place still had authentic artifacts from that era. The guide was great and answered the questions clearly. A must see place to visit when exploring Al Ain.

Very nice ex home of the master here. It's free, and tales about 1 to 2 hours to complete the visit.

Had an interesting couple of hours wandering around the palace and with it you begin to realise more about UAE and how so much has changes over such a short time. On our visit we pretty much had the place to ourselves to wander around the majestic and tranquil palace. Recommended

From Abu Dhabi public bus depot, Al Ain is an affordable, easy, comfy 2-hour bus ride. Open hours are 8.30am-7.30pm Sat, Sun & Tue-Thu, 3-7.30pm. Monday closed. The Museum is within walking distance from Al Jahili Fort. Take the time to stroll around the Museum and soak up an interesting insight into Middle Eastern culture, Personally I like to stroll... I was on my own so was a little wary but it was fine. On very hot days it may be best to avoid as there is no shelter from the sunshine. Was fascinating to see and glad I went.

This is a beautifully maintained Palace with lovely gardens and a series of formal and informal public rooms and private quarters. Visiting this Palace is a good adjunct to the Qasr Al Muwaiji. It has an easy flow for visitors to follow through galleried walkways, the family tree and portraits of the Al Nayhan family, the relatively modest living and... More

Beautiful place to see and experience how the leaders lived. Culture rich and informative. Even the kids enjoyed it. Takes about 2 hours depending on how fast you move.
