Great activity to do with teenagers - walk around the markets (you need s strong stomach in the meat market), boat trip to the cooking school - fun cooking lesson, and enjoyed eating all we cooked. Lots of fun.

There were some children when we went but not as young as 7. I would check with the school, which you should be able to do via email. It wouldn't be much fun for your son unless he was able to try or help with the cooking.
