Jack Tran Tours ( Formerly Hoi An Eco-tour) is a local Vietnamese fishing family-run business that shows travelers about the real life of the vietnamese people how they live, work and eat. We specialize in organizing and hosting cultural tours in and around Hoi An. We do this by engaging local Vietnamese people who: provide knowledgeable commentary; demonstrate traditional fishing and farming techniques; and then provide our guests with the opportunity for some hands-on experiences.

Jack Tran Tours provide our guest with the opportunity to experience first hand the authentic daily lives of the local fishing and farming community in and around Hoi An. Our guests benefit through a much deeper appreciation and respect for our people and our way of life - as well as having a thoroughly enjoyable and safe experience with many, many wonderful photo memories of their time with us.

We did 'Farming&Fishing life' tour and it was excellent. We can not only experience the countryside life but also learn the history and social issues about Vietnam. Lilly, our tour guide was humorous and kind person so we learned and saw more things by her. You might think it's expensive but it's really worth it.

Had an amazing afternoon with this tour. Our guide Uyen was absolutely fabulous, she was very warm and friendly. The cycling around the farms was fun, as well as the buffalo ride. Certainly a first for us! The boat trip was great, and to see how the locals balance themselves on those round basket boat and play with us on... More

I cannot thank Jack Tran Tours enough for the trip my husband and I experienced recently. We enjoyed the boat trip along with Captain Cook (Giap), Don (crazy Don) and our wonderful Tour Guide, Viet. Giap and Don ensured we were entertained with the Gangdum style round boats (so much fun) , we were well fed with fresh and delicious... More

We did the Eco-Fisherman tour with Lily, Den, Giap and Duy - they worked incredibly hard to make it a great experience. We rode bikes, planted vegetables, rode a water buffalo, fished with local fisherman, ate a delicious lunch (thanks Capt Cook!), learned a lot about local culture and had a wonderful time. One of the best "tourist" experiences I... More

We found JT from TA and we're glad we did. We did many excursions both before and after this via arrangements with our Travel Agent but these 2 tours were the best We did both the Sunrise Fishing Experience and also the Farming and Fishing experience. We were provided with a real insight into real Vietnamese way of life. Getting... More

In September 2016, my school in Australia took a group of 16 students ranging from the ages of 14-17 to Vietnam. Out of all the places we went to, Hoi an, was my favourite. Jack Trans tours was the absolute highlight of my trip to Vietnam. Our tour guide Lilly, was amamzing. We are still friends now! Close friends that... More

This was a half-day trip from Hoi An to a nearby fishing village, with opportunities to watch the locals fishing with small, thrown nets and also to try your hand. It was a great chance to see the Mekong at water level and to talk to the locals. The only disappointment was the lack of fish to catch - due... More

For us we love to see real life wherever we visit and sometimes it can be hard to speak to people or know where to go. This company allows you to really see into the heart of Vietnam, to meet its wonderful people and get to know how they live. You can ask questions and discover so much about the... More

I am not a fan of tours in general. For convenience and as activity for our three year old, we booked the Fisherman & Palm Paradise Private Tour through our resort. You get picked up at your hotel and transferred to a fishing village before boarding a boat and cruising down the Cua Dai River. During your cruise, you "meet"... More
