I'm a hobbyist photographer with about 5 years of experience and a principal interest in travel photography. On occasion, I've signed up for a photo tour to get a local's photography perspective of a town/country and to pick up a few tips/pointers along the way. Etienne's tour is the best of these tours I've done yet. He's super personable, very... More

Went on a private walking tour of Hoi An with Etienne, and am so thankful for my time with him! We began with a quick chat in his office where he asked what I would like to learn about and then had a quick review of basic camera settings. We then headed out into the streets. Etienne was full of... More

Visiting another country can be a transitory experience, where you fly in one end and out the next. Hoi An is a stunning place to be, but you can feel like you are only just touching the surface. These tours and having Etienne by your side, change all this, he takes you around the city as a local would do,... More

My daughter and I went on the sunrise photo tour. We went to a local fishing village, a fish sauce factory, a small market and met some local people. If you are interested in photography, whatever your ability, you must go on this tour. You get the opportunity to take photos in some really great settings, plus advice on how... More

Etienne is a very enthusiast photographer. Incredibly talented and creative (i mean, check out his instagram account) and takes the time to explain how he builds every composition. I went for the sunaet session and got some amazing shots thanks to his advices and tips. He has built trust with locals over 10 years and his knowledge of the fields... More

I am an absolute beginner, have a camera but don't know how to use it. All email correspondence was swiftly responded to. Easy to book. Great small tour group of varying interest and abilities. I selected the morning tour. Etienne was a patient teacher, had a respected and respectful rapport with all the people we came across on the tour,... More

My daughter and I loved this class. We learned a lot about composition and lighting. It would have been even better if we had 'real' cameras but it was still a wonderful experience just using our iPhones. We would have never gotten to experience the countryside around Hoi An like we did without this experience.

I contacted Etienne prior to my trip to Hoi An to coordinate a surprise proposal for my girlfriend. He was so helpful and helped me set everything up. At the start of the tour he made us both feel at ease and set the scene perfectly for 'that special moment'. He captured it ecpertly and we were very happy with... More

My wife and I did the sunset tour. I'm an old hand at photography but my wife is a newbie. Etienne was great with those who needed to learn about their camera, composition etc. And because he lives in Hoi An, he has the local knowledge of the beautiful areas to visit and how to interact with the locals to... You should go on this tour. Yes, 5 am is early. Yes, you're probably on vacation. Just deal with the early hour. Trust me. There will be coffee. Etienne is a fantastic photographer and runs a really great tour. I went on both the sunrise and sunset tours and had a great time on both. The locations for the tours... More
