The art of silk making and in turn weaving into a fine material is shown thoroughly during the visit. The array of items available from embroidered pictures to tailor made fashion items is wide. Get measured up and six hours later your item is finished if you so desire something in the fashion line of clothing.

Spent a week in 2013 and got supreme quality silk shirts. And now after 30-40 times in washing machine they are all (we are 3 people all havin a couple os shirts each) as new, except for the occasioonally lost button. The woman in charge is accomodating, helpful and highly competent!

First it should be pointed out that I hate shopping and the last thing I feel like doing on my holidays is to visit a hundred different "copiers" (I don't believe Hoi An has tailors) spending 45 minutes at each getting measured up for work suits, which, I really dont want to be trying on anyway as it reminds me... We were guests at the Long Life Riverside hotel who are also owners of Long Life Silk. My husband and I decided to give them a try as we wanted to compare their service to Tan Tan Tailors whom we had also given some business. We found out that they don't have their own tailor/s, the work is outsourced which... More

Long Life silk is located in the southern part of the old town center. This seems to lead to more affordable prices for their extremely good quality work compared to the other tailors in Hoi An. I purchased a dress and matching blazer ($65) and my boyfriend purchased a men's suits ($125) and a few shirts ($15 each). Everything came... More

After going to numerous tailors and comparing prices we went to Long Life as it was just down the road and owned by the hotel we were staying in and it just made life easier!! As we were staying at the hotel we got a 10% discount and NO pressure from them to go there. Its swings and roundabouts when... More

There is a saying, "An ugly shirt that fits well will look better than a nice shirt that fits poorly." I would add to that and say that a Great looking shirt that fits perfectly will make you feel like a Rock Star! Walked into Long Life Silk expecting to only buy one or two shirts, but I walked out... Before we went to Hoi An we searched the web for recommended tailors. When we arrived at our hotel, the Long Life Riverside Hotel, the receptionist recommended a tailorshop that belongs to this hotel. Since we haven't read a recommendation about this shop we first went to the shops we found on the web. Among others we went to Thu... More
