Had a great morning cycling with thao and nhi. Their English was good and I learned a lot about the culture and the people in the village. They took us to see how they make rice paper, noodles, sleeping mats and boats.

We had a great time on the tour, Joy (Tran Dung) done an excellent job in showing us around the Cam Kim island and it was a real eye opener to see how the people lived in this village. The tour was very informative and most importantly a good laugh! The tour guides were very helpful, and being with another... More

The Hoi An Free tour is definitely a must do while in Hoi An. We were able to experience and gain some valuable information on some of the local practises. We were able to take part in making a sleeping mat, making some rice paper ( which you also get to eat, my favourite bit ☺️), and find out how... More

Joy was a great tour guide, she knew a lot about the village and the people and was able to show us a lot. The village experience was great, slightly different from other tours, it gave me a much more realistic view of the lives of the locals and Vietnamese culture in general. The island was a hidden gem not... More

Loved this tour! We got to see a side of Hoi an we would have never found ourselves. We went to visit Cam Kim island which was great to see village life. It wasn't a scam, they didn't force us to buy anything or sell us stuff on this free tour. It was very informative, our guide Joy and 3... More

Thao and Mhi led a very imformative half day tour. Her English was excellent with a wealth of interesting facts. We were able to assist in making sleeping mats, and noodles, observed boat building and a family shrine. Very little cycling involved, if you can cycle to the corner dairy you should do this tour.

We had a great morning riding through the streets and visiting the island with our guide Ai. She was really informative and pleasant. While it is totally free, the 50,000 dong is a small price to pay for expense such as the boat ride and small tips for the villagers.

We are a couple in our mid 20s and we went on a free tour of Cam Kim island with Gum and Thau. They were amazing guides who were knowledgable and friendly. They spoke great English and were very chatty. One great thing about these tours is that the guides are volunteers so they are there to learn and they're... More

They provide tour to meet some local people, so we can know how local people in Hoi-an make a sleeping mat, rice paper. We were divided into small group, such that we also have chance to try how to make it, The tour guide is considerate and very informative. Great experience in Hoi-an.

I had a great time on Hoi An Free Tour's Kim Bong Village Tour, notwithstanding that it drizzled all day. The meeting point was about a 10 minute walk from my hotel. The staff provided me with a bicycle and made sure I purchased a raincoat. We then set off to take a ferry to Kim Bong Village. Our guide,... More
