The Hoi An Silk Village, officially opened in August 2012, is based on the ancient silk weaving traditions of Quang Nam province that used Hoi An as a commercial seaport for over 300 years. Located down the street from Hoi An's town center, the Silk Village offers an experience like no other. During the tour you'll learn about the entire production of silk from silkworm to dress. We also have a spacious restaurant serving up local delights and a high-end silk showroom where you can have custom garments designed.

Our family visited this place on a rainy day for something to do. The entry cost is only 100 000VND per person and includes a welcome drink. We didn't really know what to expect from this tour. We were pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed it. With umbrella's supplied for the tour we headed off to the first pavilion. As we... More

Walked to the village which is 20 minutes outside central Hoi An. Excellent English speaking guide who spent around an hour with us, explaining how silk is made from the beginning. Would highly recommend a visit for all ages.

Love this resort! Perfect after 2 weeks of hectic touring on a Wendy Wu tour of China, which was amazing but tiring. The villa accomodation is lovely and the staff can't do enough for us. We took a tour of the in- house silk production by both the ethnic Champa and majority Vietnamese silk weavers- worth doing! I would thoroughly... More

If you have never seen how silk is made then you need to go. They do a fabulous job of showing you how silk goes from silk worm to loom to an amazing piece of clothing. There are lots of great shops here and the prices are fair.

We walked the 20 minutes from our hotel and found we were the only tourists there. We were welcomed with a cold mulberry juice and then had a personal guide take us on a tour of the silk process. Very interesting. And highly informative. Only 100,000vd.

We booked a guided tour of the Silk Village. We were picked up at our hotel and met by our guide. The old buildings are beautifully preserved. This was a very informative tour and we learned a lot about the silk making process. We were shown through each step of the making of silk, starting with the eggs. The tour... More

My wife & I stayed in the beautiful Silk Village Hotel and Spa Resort in Hoi An in mid-Feb 2017 as part of a tour of Vietnam organised through Halong Tours Booking (see separate review). We were greeted in the lovely airy rustic style reception by two staff members who gave us a really nice welcome and reflected the same... More
