I'm not a train geek, but this place is fantastic and a real trip back in time. You can easily spend several hours clambering on and in all the various trains and carriages. Some great photo opportunities too!

Carry a charged device for epic pictures. Really had fun with my kids here and took lots of pics. Loved the novelty of getting a genuine old ticket as entrance ticket. Don't budget too much time for this though unless you're a train fanatic. 30...More

Spend an hour or two climbing on old locomotives, entering colonial passenger cars, and imaging you're a railman! The curator/caretaker has a lot of passion and will provide valuable insights.
