Use the beach if you have to

The public beach in Aqaba should be the gem of the city. Instead, it seems tired and worn out. I wouldn't be opposed to having a nominal fee attached for entrance to the beach... read more

Very HOT, the locals are not very friendly, the city was in disrepair. The beach was not pleasant. Not much to do.

It was a friday morning and it was over crowded. At points, it was even dirty and smelly. Wouldn't recommend it to any tourist.

Beach not sandy, but rather rocky pebbles. Very hard to walk on. Saw broken glass in among the pebbles so walking barefoot was not an option. However, if you just want to say you were in the Red Sea, then go for it, which is what we did. Just a little toe dipping.

Full of trash. No decent fasilities. You draw attention too much. If you have beach at your hotel you don't have reason to come here.

Typical tourist trap. Lots of sellers of junk. Here you can hire a glass boat to go around in Aqaba bay. Next door to Eilat in Israel. You can fly with parachute after a speed boat and much much more!

Take a walk through the city gardens and along the beach, maybe sit down for a cup of tea or a shisha. There is a lot going on but only children and young men go swimming

Nice family beach they do try to keep it clean. The water is clean. More for families so even men should cover up when going into the water as a lot of women are about.
